Adrian Pittaway is the Head of Retail for MSC Cruises. Based in Geneva, Adrian and the MSC Cruises retail team operate one of the largest in-house cruise retail operations in the world. Leading the team on one of the most modern cruise ship fleets in the world, MSC Cruises retail team operate as part of the larger MSC Group with 130 boutiques on 15 luxury cruise ships, and a further 100 boutiques in the pipeline on 9 additional ships.
With over 20 years of experience in retail management, Adrian is responsible for directing all aspects of the retail business covering buying, operations, logistics and business development for nearly 200 premium brands. Previously, Adrian worked for over 7 years for Nuance / Dufry with experience in the other side of travel retail in the airport and leisure industry.
Clara leads the team of analysts and consultants working on travel retail research projects at m1nd-set. She manages m1nd-set’s consultancy work for global key accounts, including brands in all categories in travel retail, as well as industry associations, industry media and several leading retailers; and is a frequent speaker at Travel Retail conferences on all continents.
Named CEO of Heinemann Americas, Inc. in May 2016, Nadine Heubel has been leading her company’s foray into the United States and its lucrative travel retail industry both on land and at sea. Her career began at Hugo Boss over 20 years ago, where she served as the company's Head of Travel Retail in Germany. She transitioned to Gebr. Heinemann in 2008, which led to her current leadership position in the company's American market. Fluent in three languages, Heubel is a veteran retail executive with direct experience in virtually all aspects of the industry. Responsibilities have included the development of high-level marketing and retail strategies, leading customer and supplier management in over 70 countries, managing large teams of staff, and developing innovative retail concepts. Her ease working with in an international business environment has helped her build highly successful partnerships throughout her career. Heubel holds both an Executive MBA and BBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration in Zurich.
William Butler is the Vice President of Retail Services for Carnival Cruise Line. As the largest cruise line operator in the world, Carnival Cruise Line features 26 vessels positioned in 16 US home ports, Australia, and Europe; serving over five-million guests per year. William is responsible for executing the global fleetwide strategy for retail with management of six retail concessionaire partners and proprietary onboard retail stores.He drives the strategic vision that delivers an experience in-line with the broader vacation experience onboard Carnival Cruise Line vessels.
Previous to Carnival Cruise Line, William worked for FAO Schwarz and Macy’s Inc.
William earned a BS in Business Management from Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Kathleen Jordan, AIA, CID, LEED BD+C, joined Gensler in 1997 with a solid foundation in retail architecture and interiors experience. Her experience encompasses a broad range of project scope and scale. Having started her career as a part of an in-house retail design & construction staff, Kathleen's background provides a unique perspective into the retail planning & design process through the lens of product merchandising.
Kathleen’s experience encompasses block planning, merchandising, and design oversight, managing project design implementation through the construction documentation process and the construction administration phase. At Gensler, Kathleen was promoted to Associate in 1998, to Senior Associate in 1999, and to Principal in 2005.
Oliver Storrie is the Global Travel Retail Manager for Quintessential Brands Group. He leads the Travel retail channel and oversees the global distribution of their brands with all the key travel retail operators. With over 12 years industry experience he has developed the travel retail channel with Quintessential Brands from three Ferry listings in 2015 to Global account contracts across all QB’S portfolio . As result their portfolio is now represented in every travel retail channel globally. Oliver loves the sense of community in GTR and genuinely seeks to give all his customers great brands , with standout activations and promotions to deliver the results they need. His favourite motto is: Life ain’t a rehearsal, the camera’s always rolling !
Rene Riedi is the Divisional Chief Executive Officer for Division 4 of the Dufry Group of Companies, which covers Latin American and the Caribbean including Brazil. Prior to his transfer to the United States in 2012, Mr. Riedi had been in the position of Chief Operating Officer Retail Region Eurasia & Asia, with executive responsibilities for all retail activities in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, CIS and Asia / Pacific.
Prior to that, Rene Riedi had been in various commercial positions at the Group’s headquarters. Rene Riedi joined Weitnauer in 1993. In 2004, Weitnauer was acquired by Advent International and the company renamed to Dufry.
Prior to Weitnauer/Dufry, Rene Riedi worked for 6 years in sales and product marketing of a multinational FMCG Group.
Rene holds a degree in Business Administration from the School of Economy and Business Administration Zurich.
Marion joined Nuxe in 2005 as Area Manager responsible for European distributors and Nuxe’s USA subsidiary. During this time, she helped to set up a German subsidiary for Nuxe and in 2009 she was appointed Business Manager of this unit.
In 2013 Marion returned to the Paris head office of Nuxe to a new appointment as the first Travel Retail Director for Nuxe, creating this new travel retail business unit from scratch.
Carrie Julier is Senior Vice President Cruise Retail North America at Starboard Cruise Services, the premier retailer at sea. Carrie is responsible for managing Starboard’s operations across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Carrie oversees all operations aboard Starboard’s North American ships, including retail strategy and leading a team that assures an exceptional guest experience.
Carrie has over 20 years of experience in the cruse retail industry, beginning with Starboard’s sister company, Onboard Media, where she led the creation of innovative shopping programs aligned with onboard retail partners.
Carrie is located in Starboard’s headquarters in Miami.
Stefano Menegotto is Vice President & General Manager Europe for Starboard Cruise Services, the premier retailer at sea. Stefano began his career with Starboard 14 years ago and has extensive experience in Cruise Retail across all major markets, including Europe, Caribbean, South America and Asia.
Stefano leads operations in the European Region and is responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience on all Starboard ships in Europe by optimizing the guest journey, providing the best merchandise and assortment strategy, as well as ensuring the shipboard teams are delivering a memorable guest service.
Previously to Starboard, Stefano worked in the fashion industry for over 8 years with Luxottica Group where he held the role of Managing Director in different countries between Europe, Middle East and India, overseeing both wholesale and retail operations.
Stefano is located in Starboard’s office in Genoa, Italy.
Yannick Raynaud leads L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas (TRAM) as Managing Director for the subsidiary since August 2016, based in Miami, USA. With 20 years in the L’ORÉAL group across 5 countries, Yannick has championed expertise in management, business, marketing and digital, placing the consumer at the heart of every strategy she leads - her obsession is to offer travelers a unique and engaging beauty experience.
Since she joined the group, Yannick has accumulated experiences working alongside diverse multi-disciplinary teams and brands, honing expertise in positions spanning Marketing Manager, Brand General Manager, Country Division Manager and Managing Director.
Her exposure to multiple countries and their different challenges - France, Venezuela, Brazil, United Kingdom and USA – has allowed Yannick to strive in the development of multicultural teams, boost the acceleration of L’ORÉAL Travel Retail Americas modernization through digital and sustainability, in addition to building strong relationships with business partners, contributing to L’Oréal’s Travel Retail expansion.
Her scope today includes the management of a diverse portfolio of 25 L’Oréal Brands: from Luxury to Mass market, from DermoCosmetics to Professional hair care across the Americas.
Yannick Raynaud, graduated in Business Administration (BBA) with majors in Finance and Marketing in 1995.
Born in Germany in 1969 to German parents, Christian Konrad grew up in Italy where he completed his formative years at the European School in Varese, Italy. He went on to complete several study abroad programs in Germany, Spain and the United States including an MBA at the University of San Diego, California. Before joining Bulgari, Mr. Konrad briefly worked in San Diego, California as a Financial and Investment Analyst for a private management firm. Since joining Bulgari in 1997, Mr. Konrad has held several positions within the Bulgari Parfums and Travel Retail divisions, rapidly ascending to Worldwide Travel Retail Parfums Sales Director in 2002.
During his tenure as WWTR Parfums Sales Director, Mr. Konrad grew the BVLGARI brand in over 1100 travel retail point of sales and developed the local market of Central and South America. In 2007, he took over the position of Managing Director for the Jewelry, Watches and Accessories in Germany and Austria overseeing a total of nine directly owned stores and the wholesale market for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. In August 2009, Mr. Konrad became the Managing Director for the entire brand in Germany, merging the parfums, jewelry, watch and accessories entities.
During his tenure in Germany, he opened the first BVLGARI boutique in the Netherlands and renovated the flagship store in Munich. Since 2010, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the holding company Bulgari International Corporation. After 16 successful years working for BVLGARI European entities, Christian Konrad was appointed Managing Director of Latin America and Travel Retail in December 2013.
In his current role, he oversees the entire franchise, wholesale and directly owned retail markets for Jewelry, Watches, Accessories and Parfums, along with the Travel Retail distribution.
Christian Konrad currently lives in Miami Beach with his wife Angelique Konrad and two children. He fluently speaks German, English, French and Italian.
Claudia is leading the travel retail business for Swarovski across all regions, globally.
She is passionate about developing the jewelry and watches category across airports, downtown and cruise-ships.
Her focus is on an omni-channel business development through a customer and consumer centric and fact based framework.
Mariana is the JTI Worldwide Duty Free Corporate Affairs Manager responsible for Europe, Nordics, Americas, Israel and Turkey. Admitted to the São Paulo bar in 2015, Mariana comes from a legal background, previously working in law firms focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions and Real Estate in Brazil.
Mariana joined JTI in 2016 and worked in the Global Regulatory Strategy department prior to joining JTI Worldwide Duty Free.
In her current role, Mariana works closely with the duty free industry including Travel Retail Associations, Retailers and other brands seeking to safeguard this unique retail environment and ensure it is well understood, recognised and protected.
Catherine Restrepo is the Co-founder and CEO of SYZYGY Strategies, an innovative brand-building brokerage agency established in 2017 in Miami FL. She commenced her career in New York with Pernod Ricard, the world’s second largest wine & spirits company, and relocated to Miami managing multi-channels within Travel Retail, as well as being a key player in taking Cruise lines to another strategic level for the company globally. With over 11 years of experience in the industry, formed and shaped by her passion, entrepreneurial spirit and mindset, Catherine now runs her own company dedicated to business development, consulting and direct selling of wine, spirits and gourmet for Airlines, Cruise lines and Airports.
In this short time, her company has made big strides with companies such as Beam Suntory for the cruise business, by creating a clear strategic roadmap with a robust long-term execution plan. Furthermore, working alongside “Glocal” craft brands bringing new mindful concepts and innovations with disruptive executions relevant during the consumer journey within the channel
Born in Italy in 1978 and graduated in Industrial Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, Marco Di Santo started his career in logistics and distribution planning in 2003 at Schering (then become Bayer). After attending a Masters in Human Resources Management and completing study abroad programs in Spain and Portugal, he moved to the US to start up a new company as General Manager in refitting and interior design for the cruise ship industry. Since joining Bulgari in 2008, Mr Di Santo has held several positions with increasing responsibility within Bulgari Corporation of America, from HR Manager to Area Sales Executive for the Caribbean wholesale, franchisee and travel retail.
Today he oversees the largest and fastest-growing region within the Latin America and Travel Retail Division, as Regional Sales Director for Cruise ships and Caribbean. Since Marco took on the cruise ship channel in 2017, he has delivered triple incremental growth in the cruise business for Bulgari, while improving the network with the most beautiful and elegant stores at sea. During his time, Bulgari has won two international awards: in 2017, Best Jewelry Store at DFNI for the NCL Joy and in 2019, Best Duty Free Experience of the Year at the Asia Pacific Awards with Starboard Cruise Services for the Jewelry Fashion Show onboard the Costa Venezia.
Marco’s vision and prior experience on land business contributed Bulgari to become a leading brand in events and luxury experiences onboard ships across the world.
Marco has lived in several cities: Milan, Rome, Barcelona, New York and currently lives in Miami where he cultivates his passions for singing, acting and oriental therapies. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, Italian and some German
Eva Rehnstrom is a member of the Managing Board with the European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC). She is the Chairperson of the Nordic Travel Retail Group (NTRG), which represents 60 companies from the Nordic and Baltic duty free and travel retail industry. NTRG works for the interests of the travel retail industry to create the optimal environment and market conditions for member organizations.
She is also in charge of the Sales- and Purchasing for the Beauty, Fashion and Spa departments in Viking Line, a ferry cruise, passenger and cargo transport company in the Nordics and Baltics, which connects passengers travelling on routes between Sweden, Finland and Estonia.
She has held several roles in the company since 2003. Eva Rehnström holds a Master of Science in economics and business administration from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki.
She has also studied international business at the University of Vienna and International Hotel Management at the Hotel- and Restaurant School in Mariehamn.
Outside the office Eva enjoys an active lifestyle that includes sports, travels and good times with family and friends.

Michael Serves as President and CEO of the International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores and has extensive experience with Government advocacy, association management and convention and trade shows. He is actively engaged in the hospitality and travel industry and supporting the Global importance of world’s largest industry.
Prior to joining IAADFS Michael held a number of positions within the U.S. government, including Deputy to the Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs of the U.S. Department of Commerce, worked in the Department’s Office of Coastal Zone Management and the Economic Development Administration. His specific areas of expertise include international trade, environmental affairs and infrastructure development.
He is an Executive Vice –President for SmithBucklin the largest Association Management Company in the U.S. and is a member of their Board of Directors.
Michael is a former Chair of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA); is the Immediate Past Chair of the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI) and has served as an Advisory Board Member for several hotel companies and Convention Bureaus. He also was Chairman of the PCMA Educational Foundation, which provides grants and training support for the hospitality industry.
Christelle Caron leads the Cruise Lines division for Moët Hennessy in charge of both on-trade and off-trade. The portfolio of brands includes exceptional brands of champagnes, wines and spirits that are all inspired by the same spirit of perfection. Since joining the company in 2017, she contributed to the acceleration of Moët Hennessy brands on cruise ships while her focus has been to craft unique experiences onboard that result in unforgettable memories for the passengers. Christelle has over 18 years of experience in luxury goods and in Travel Retail.
She is known for her passion, her entrepreneurial spirit, her quest for excellence, her leadership skills and her ability to build and further develop brands regionally and internationally. She started her career in 2001 with Guerlain where she was responsible for the Caribbean market and then for Travel Retail North America coupled with management of DFS Worldwide.
In 2005, she joined Beauté Prestige International, part of the Shiseido Group, as Regional Sales Manager Travel Retail North America. Her focus on sell out performance and outstanding retail execution translated in substantial gains in market share within the airport channel. In 2007, she is appointed Regional Director Travel Retail Americas in charge of all distribution channels and leading a multicultural team of 10 people. Her vision and her strategy focused on retail excellence resulted in strong double-digit growth.
During her tenure, Elie Saab was introduced in 70 doors and was awarded DFNI Award for Best New Product Launch in the Americas, and then rolled out to 168 doors by end of 2014. In 2015, she left the Beauty industry and moved to the Movado Group to help them build their Travel Retail division in the Americas.
Christelle graduated from Business School in Paris in 1999 and lived in England, South Korea and Spain. She currently lives in Miami, and speaks fluently French, English and Spanish. In her spare time, she is involved in the advocacy of people with disabilities, volunteering for several non-profit organizations.
Elaine Pires is Brown-Forman Strategic Account Manager in charge of Travel Retail accounts. She has been in the Spirit business since 2000, starting her career in the Wine Business. In July 2011, Pires joined Brown-Forman in Brazil overseeing Travel Retail accounts in PUB – Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil Duty Free and border business.
In January 2016, she moved to Miami and since then, she has been in charge of Travel Retail accounts such as Cruise Lines, Gift Shops, Borders, Airports and Embassies. She holds a Degree in Social Communication and an MBA in Business Administration.
